Hồ Dầu Tiếng là hồ nhân tạo lớn nhất Việt Nam, có vai trò quan trọng trong việc điều tiết dòng chảy của sông Sài Gòn và kênh Đông và cả kênh Tây. Hồ Dầu Tiếng được khởi công xây dựng từ năm 1981 và hoàn thành vào năm 1985 sau hơn 4 năm xây dựng và thi công. Hồ này được đặc trưng bởi phong cảnh độc đáo, thanh bình và hệ sinh thái độc đáo. Hai bên hồ là những thắng cảnh thơ mộng, với diện tích lên đến 27.000 ha tạo nên cảnh quan tuyệt đẹp. Do diện tích rộng nên Hồ Dầu Tiếng còn được mệnh danh là “Biển Hồ” của Tây Ninh.
Trên hồ có nhiều ốc đảo xinh đẹpvới các tên gọi như đảo Xỉn, đảo Trảng, đảo Đồng Bò... tạo thành một hệ sinh thái đa dạng. Do đó, ngày càng có nhiều người đến câu cá ở đây.
